Mark is a Ph.D. student with research interests in Late Antiquity, Byzantium, Roman Spain, classical philosophy, and early Christianity. He received his B.A. in Latin and Greek from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and M.A.T. in Latin and Classical Humanities from Boston University. Mark also attended Arcadia University in Athens, Saint Louis University in Madrid, and the Classical Summer Program at the American Academy in Rome. For twenty years he has taught high school Latin and Ancient Greek in Glastonbury, CT, and he has served as the president of CANE (Classical Association of New England). Mark is in the final year of his studies and working on his dissertation, studying the narrative and fictional elements in the Epistula Severi.
